Why many degree students remain unemployed?

Every year thousands complete degrees.
BCom. BBA. BA. BSc. Engineering. MBA.
But still many remain unemployed.
Is the degree useless?
No.
But something is missing.

1️⃣ Degree without Skill
Many students focus only on passing exams.
They don’t focus on:
• Communication
• Practical knowledge
• Software skills
• Industry exposure
Companies don’t hire marks.
They hire ability.

2️⃣ No Clarity from Year One
Some students join a course without knowing:
• What job they want
• What field they are targeting
• What skills are required
Three years go fast.
Final year comes.
Then panic starts.
Career planning should start in first year — not after graduation.

3️⃣ No Internship / Real Exposure
Classroom knowledge is theoretical.
Without internships, live projects, or practical exposure, students struggle in interviews.
Even small experience matters.

4️⃣ Poor Communication
Many talented students lose opportunities because they cannot express their knowledge properly.
Confidence + clarity = employability.

5️⃣ Trend-Based Decisions
Choosing a course because:
• Friend joined
• It is “easy”
• It is nearby
• It is cheap
Short-term thinking creates long-term struggle.

6️⃣ No Continuous Learning
Today’s world changes fast.
If a student stops learning after getting a degree, growth stops.
Add-on certifications, online courses, industry skills — these are no longer optional.

My Honest Opinion
Degree is not a job guarantee.
Degree is a foundation.

If students combine:
• Right course
• Right skill
• Right mindset
• Right exposure
Unemployment reduces drastically.
Education is not just about completing a course.
It is about becoming capable.
